Letter from World Assemblies of God Fellowship
Chairman
David Yonggi Cho
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
On behalf of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, I greet you
in the wonderful name of Jesus!
As a foreign delegate, going to America will be like going home
for Christmas. For many of us, the American Assemblies of God can
be considered our spiritual father because American missionaries
came to our countries, preached the gospel, and helped us grow in
our faith in God. Now many of our countries are sending missionaries
too! These are truly New Testament principles at work!
We are going to America for this sacred gathering, the "3rd Triennial
World Assemblies of God Congress and 2000 Celebration," so we can
be "all together, at one time, in one place." Our eyes are focused
on the 21st century. The future direction of our Movement depends
upon the Holy Spirit and upon our response and obedience to Him.
I believe the Assemblies of God has been raised up for such a time
as this. We have a mission . . . a co-mission given to us by the
Lord of the Harvest (Matthew 28:19,20). Missions is what unifies
us; missions is the purpose of our Fellowship.
It is important for you to join us in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA,
August 7-10, 2000, because you are a vital part of our great international
family. Let us celebrate God's faithfulness together and develop
a united vision. Let us share in a sense of destiny, a sense of
opportunity, and a sense of commitment for the 21st century.
Sincerely your brother and friend,
World Assemblies of God Fellowship
David Yonggi Cho, Chairman
