History
of the Assemblies of God in Bulgaria
The Pentecostal movement in Bulgaria
traces its history to Nicholas Nikoloff, who started an official
registration in 1928. After the Communist Party came to power, the
government discouraged religion and supervised religious practice.
In 1989, the reform government affirmed the rights of all citizens
to practice their religion.
The Pentecostal Church of Bulgaria
just celebrated their 70th anniversary last November.
