History of the Assemblies of God in El Salvador

The strategy of the national Assemblies of God in El Salvador for 1999 was titled "Plan 100,000." The idea was for every one of the 100,000 plus people who attend our churches to win one person to the Lord and for every church to start another church. As part of this strategy, we came together as a national church in one of our large stadiums in October for what was titled the "Pentecostal Celebration." More than 30,000 people joined together, lives were changed and the national church was blessed.

The fruit of the plan was a net growth of 100 new Assemblies of God churches and a 15% growth in our constituency. We have now adopted the goal to duplicate the number of churches and membership for the centennial of the Assemblies of God in 2014.
