Speakers announced for 2000 Celebration

Assemblies of God church leaders and laypeople from around the world will be gathering at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Ind., August 7-10, 2000, for the Third Triennial World Assemblies of God Congress and 2000 Celebration. This unprecedented event will highlight what God has done throughout the history of the Fellowship as participants seek God for a renewed divine outpouring in the 21st century.

Reflecting the vast scope of the event, featured speakers will come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds as well as ministry profiles.

  • John Bueno — Executive Director, Division of Foreign Missions USA
  • David Yonggi Cho — Pastor of the world's largest church with more than 760,000 members in Seoul, Korea, and chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship
  • Lazarus Chakwera — General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in Malawi
  • Charles Crabtree — Assistant General Superintendent, Assemblies of God, USA
  • Hector Hunter — General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in Cuba
  • Peter Kuzmic — Cofounder and director of the Biblical Theological Institute of Croatia
  • Marion Lim — Pastor, Singapore
  • Ron McManus — Coordinator of National Ministerial/Leadership Institutes
  • David Mohan — Pastor from Madras, India
  • Samuel Rodriguez, Jr. — Pastor from New York City
  • Robert Spence — President, Evangel University
  • Thomas Trask — General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God USA

Time will be given in each service for prayer and waiting on God. Wednesday will begin with a Worldwide Prayer Meeting. Superintendent Trask will lead the meeting and David Yonggi Cho will be the featured speaker. The focus of the session will be praying for needs from each region of the world, as well as the United States.
