Pastor, Evangel Family Church, Singapore

Dr. Marion Lim is the senior pastor of Evangel Family Church, Singapore; a thriving church with a very strong missions program. Dr. Lim assumed leadership of the church in 1994, when the Lord called her husband, Dr. Robert Lim, to plant 100 churches in the Philippines by the year 2000. In 6 short years, Evangel Family Church had started 106 churches across the Philippines under their leadership.

Growing up, Dr. Lim came from a very poor family in a village that simply fought for survival. A hard worker, Dr. Lim passed her senior Cambridge examination when not many were given a chance for a proper education. Her results could have given her a high paying job in Singapore, but Dr. Lim’s experience with Jesus Christ made her different from her talented, musician siblings. Her salvation led her to dedicate her voice to singing gospel songs, which eventually opened the door for her to sing to 40,000 people at a crusade in Singapore. She also had the chance to sing for a Billy Graham crusade in Hong Kong that was telecast throughout Asia to 100 million viewers. In 1997 she was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree from Bethesda Theological Seminary at the Yoido Full Gospel Church.

Dr. Lim is a very dynamic and anointed speaker in English, Mandarin and Hokkien. Her unique, simple and straight-to-the point preaching style has blessed many, both locally and overseas. Her career as a gifted gospel singer and recording artist has taken her to America, Osaka-Japan, Seoul-Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines. In 1990 she was featured in the video Mission World Asia with Billy Graham.

Dr. and Mrs. Robert Lim have two sons and a daughter.
