David Mohan

David Mohan is an ordained Assemblies of God minister in Madras, India. In 1973, Mohan pioneered New Life Assembly of God in one of the most populated areas of India. The church has seen phenomenal growth and the current attendance for Sunday services is over 15,000 people in six services.

New Life Assembly has started 120 branch churches and sent out 60 missionaries to unreached parts of India and to neighboring countries. With 1,315 home care cells and more than 60 doctors ministering to the community in the area of public health and social services, Mohan’s church is continuing to grow through ministry.

After 25 years of ministry, Mohan is a leading example of the indigenous church principle in missions — a church that begins and grows naturally. Missionaries help train local leadership and then support them as they ably lead their churches. Mohan continues to focus on evangelistic outreach and has set a goal to have 20,000 church members in 2000.
