Valimont

First Assembly, Griffin, Ga.
As the Senior Pastor of First Assembly of God in Griffin,
Georgia, Randy Valimont has witnessed the blessings of God
upon his church financially and numerically. When he began
his ministry at First Assembly in August of 1993, the average
morning attendance was 420. Since that time, the numbers have
grown to over 1,900 on an average Sunday morning. The increases
have been in other areas as well. The missions giving dramatically
jumped from less than $10,000 to over $700,000 in 1999.
Valimont is a native of Charleston, S.C. and a 1981 graduate
of Southeastern College in Lakeland, Fl. He has been in pastoral
ministry since May of 1981. Valimont has remained actively
involved in the Georgia District as a presbyter, co-chairman
of the credentialing committee, and state CE Director.
Currently, Valimont serves on many boards, such as the
Board of Regents of the CIS Bible Schools, International Media
Ministry Board of the Assemblies of God and the Foreign Missions
Board of the Assemblies of God. He is also a part of the National
Blind Ministries Board, FAM International Board, and the cutting
Edge International Board.
His speaking engagements have included the Georgia District
Council, Ministers Retreats, camp meetings and several Bible
colleges.
Valimont and his wife, Jelly, have
three daughters.
