What
is a Webcast?
Webcasts
are simply an Internet audio or video broadcast which is made available
to users through a host Web site. The user listens and/or views
the event on his/her computer using software which is usually available
on the host site. The
2000 Celebration will be an audio only Webcast using RealPlayer.
What
do I need?
You
need a Mas OS or Windows (95, 98, or NT 4.0) computer, a sound card,
an Internet connection with at least a 28.8 Kpbs modem, a Web browser
(Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 4.0
or better recommended.) and the free version of RealPlayer 7 or
purchase full versions from Real
Networks. These players are software "plug-ins"
that are used by your browser. To learn more about the Real Player,
click
here. You can download one of these players at Real Networks
web site by clicking
here. The Real Networks web site has a detailed help page for
users who are experiencing problems with the G2 Player. Go
there now.

7 Basic FAQ
Does it matter which version of browser I have?
For best results, you should use Netscape Navigator or Microsoft
Internet Explorer versions 4.0 or better. You may obtain the most
recent versions free from the following links. Please follow install
instructions carefully: Netscape
Navigator or Microsoft
Internet Explorer. To find out which version of Browser you
are using, go to the help menu at the top right of your browser
and select About (Netscape or Internet Explorer) at the bottom of
the menu.
How do I check which video plug-in I have?
You can check to see which version, if any, of the Real Player you
have by doing the following:
In Netscape, click on the Help menu at the top right side of your
browser and select About Plug-ins. Scroll down to see if the real
Plug-in is listed. If not, you will need to download the plug-in.
Click
here to do so now.
In Microsoft Internet Explorer, click on the Help menu at the top
right side of your browser and select Product Updates. This will
automatically determine which plug-ins you have and you will be
able to select the Real G2 Player from the list provided. Make sure
that you select the Real G2 player and then proceed through the
steps to download the player to your browser.

WebTV
Users: The latest upgrade for WebTV includes support for Real Audio.
However, it is important that you make sure you have selected the
28.8K connection speed, in most cases. For additional support, got
to Web TV's Help
Center - Streaming Media.

Support
If
you experience problems with halting or buffering, you might either
reload the audio window by clicking on the link again or try to
view it again at a different time.
How do I see previous Webcasts?
All of the previous plenary sessions will be archived and will be
available by clicking on the archive link for the date and time
of service you want to listen to.
I missed part of a live show and would like to listen to it again,
when are the shows available in the archive?
On the day that a service has been webcast, the archived file will
generally be available within an hour after the end of the live
Webcast.
Are
there audio and video cassette tapes available for purchase?
Yes. Tapes can be purchased by downloading order form.
