Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Third Triennial World Conference?
(top)
The World Assemblies of God Fellowship coordinates a World Congress
every three years. Nationally or regionally delegated leaders within
the Fellowship assemble to discuss matters primarily affecting the
objectives of the Fellowship. The Third Triennial World Conference
meets August 7-8, 2000 at the Hyatt Regency, Indianapolis, Indiana.
What is the 2000 Celebration? (top)
The 2000 Celebration is a time set aside for the entire Assemblies
of God family from across the globe to gather together at one time,
in one place. It will be a to thank God for His grace in the past
and present; and to ask His blessing on the future. The 2000 Celebration
will be held in the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana, August 8-10.
This unprecedented gathering of foreign representatives, missionaries,
ministers, and lay persons provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
to meet the family and collectively seek God's face, believe for
a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit as we enter the 21st century,
and to hear from heaven.
What makes this gathering unique?
(top)
A gathering of this nature has never before been attempted in North
America. Truly an international gathering "all together, at
one time, in one place."
We will Celebrate God's goodness during this past century
of Pentecost, Rejoice in what He is doing through His Holy
Spirit in the world today and Renew our commitment to take
the gospel to every person, until He comes.
Is this the same as a General Council?
(top)
No. General Councils are held every two years for the purpose of
conducting the business of the church. While the World Congress
will meet to discuss issues affecting World Fellowship, the primary
goal is to gather the entire Assemblies of God together at the threshold
of the new millennium for a time of celebration, renewal and intercession.
Who is invited? (top)
You are! This gathering is about the entire Assemblies of God family

registration fee is minimal ($15). Pre-registering will be of a
great benefit to you, as it will significantly cut down on the waiting
time on-site.
When should I be there? (top)
Those who plan to attend both events, 3rd Triennial World A/G Congress
and 2000 Celebration, should arrive early Monday. Those coming only
for the 2000 Celebration need to arrive Tuesday afternoon for the
opening service at 7 p.m.

Absolutely! This is an event for the entire family.
Special note: There is a child care room for children 0-5 years
of age. The children must be accompanied by a parent in this room.
It is not staffed with child care workers.
Children in Kindergarten - 6th grade will be able to attend Kid's
Congress. The charge for this is $25 for both Weds. and Thurs. This
will be age appropriate activities where the children will have
fun and be ministered to at an age appropriate level.
Will there be youth activities? (top)
There will not be separate evening services for the youth. From
the concept of "all together at one time in one place,"
is a feeling that the young people of the Fellowship bring a sense
of enthusiasm and vitality wherever they go. This gathering will
only be a true "family" gathering when the Church of tomorrow
unites with the Church of yesterday and today. There will be special
youth track seminars on Thursday, however.
The annual Fine Arts Festival will be taking place, but this is
a qualifying event.
