Trask Challenges Church to Fulfill Historic Commitment
The historic Assemblies of God 2000 Celebration closed Thursday night looking to the future. The first gathering of the worldwide Assemblies of God family in North America closed with a "Celebration of Hope." More than 30,000 of the church’s 35-million constituents traveled to Indianapolis for the World Assemblies of God Congress and the 2000 Celebration.

Bueno Issues God’s Command to the Church—‘Keep Marching!’
"God says to His church tonight, just keep marching," John Bueno, executive director of the Division of Foreign Missions for the U.S. Assemblies of God, declared during the final service of the Assemblies of God 2000 Celebration. "God says to those that are working in the persecuted church, keep marching…to those that are suffering from earthquakes or floods or fires, keep marching…to those that are engaged in spiritual warfare and you don’t know how much longer your energy will last, keep marching!"

Celebrating the Foundations of Our Faith
Salvation must be a personal decision and it comes only through Jesus Christ, speakers Sam Huddleston and Robert H. Spence told the assembled Thursday morning in the RCA Dome.

Divine Healing
A throng of faithful in need of healing gathered around the altars in the RCA Dome Thursday morning after hearing Jamie Roberts, lead singer of Shaded Red, and Ron McManus, pastor of First Assembly of God in Winston Salem, N.C., speak of God’s unfailing love and healing power.

The Second Coming
"Jesus is coming, and the reality is that He’s coming soon, and there must be an intensified effort, a fervor, a commitment, a passion, a purpose and a promise to reach the entire world for Him," Samuel Rodriguez Jr. said during yesterday morning’s Celebration of Faith.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit
"It is time for Pentecost to come back to the Assemblies of God as a great priority, and that everyone in our churches speaks in other tongues," Charles Crabtree, assistant superintendent of the U.S. Assemblies of God, said during yesterday morning’s Celebration of Faith. "I’m not so worried about empty pews, I’m worried about empty people."

Mohan Challenges Church to Restore the Temple
Pastor David Mohan of New Life Assembly of God in Madras, India, delivered clear directions Wednesday night for a "Celebration of Restoration." Proclaiming the 2000 Celebration second night theme, he urged the crowd to repent, to commit themselves to prayer and fasting, and to rebuild God’s temple.

Assemblies of God Vision 2000 Proclamation
We are a people of the Spirit. We are a people of vision. Birthed in the fire of renewal, still less than one hundred years ago, we have now become a worldwide influence for worship, discipleship, and evangelism in the 21st century. What God has done, and is doing, should fill us with gratitude and awe, and should move us to deep prayer and faith in understanding God’s vision for us in this new century. Who can predict what the Holy Spirit may yet do before the return of the Lord? His vision is that the glory of Christ be revealed among every people and culture. Our church must proclaim Christ to this world in the 21st century with first century fervor.
